2024 Renault Arkana Facelift Revealed
Renault is proud to introduce the latest addition to its lineup, the 2024 Arkana. This stylish crossover not only showcases the brand's revised corporate logo but also brings a host of new features and enhancements to captivate automotive enthusiasts. With its eye-catching design and improved specifications, the 2024 Arkana is set to make a lasting impression on the roads.
One of the notable updates is the availability of black, satin chrome, or dark chrome accents, which vary depending on the chosen trim level. This allows customers to personalize their Arkana to match their unique style preferences. Additionally, Renault has simplified the lineup by offering three distinct flavors: Evolution, Techno, and Esprit Alpine. The Esprit Alpine, which replaces the previous RS Line, takes the top spot in the range and is equipped with exclusive features that elevate its appeal.
The Esprit Alpine boasts stunning 19-inch wheels with a two-tone finish, perfectly complemented by the Alpine branding displayed on the front fenders. A mildly updated front grille distinguishes this range-topping trim from its predecessors. Step inside the cabin, and you'll be greeted by the flagship's attention to detail. The door cards feature exquisite stitching in red, white, and blue, reminiscent of the brand's heritage. The dashboard showcases a sleek slate-like finish, exuding sophistication and modernity. To ensure comfort and sustainability, Renault has combined faux suede and Eco Tep materials for the seats, with 10 percent of the composition derived from bio-sourced materials.
Underneath the hood, the 2024 Arkana offers customers a choice of mild-hybrid gasoline engines. These turbocharged four-cylinder, 1.33-liter powertrains deliver either 140 or 160 horsepower. The base version generates 192 lb-ft of torque, while the more powerful variant offers 199 lb-ft. Opting for the base engine will result in a 0 to 62 mph acceleration time of 9.8 seconds, while the beefier alternative can achieve the same feat in just 9.1 seconds.
In addition to the mild-hybrid options, Renault presents the E-Tech full hybrid setup. This system combines a 94-hp, four-cylinder, 1.6-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine with a 36-kW electric motor and a 15-kW starter generator, resulting in a total output of 145 horsepower. The Arkana E-Tech incorporates a 1.2-kWh battery, enabling drivers to rely on electric power for up to 80 percent of their urban commutes. Compared to conventional gasoline engines, this hybrid configuration reduces fuel consumption by an impressive 40 percent.
It's important to note that the Arkana E-Tech, although slightly slower with a 0 to 62 mph time of 10.8 seconds, offers exceptional efficiency. However, it does come with a slight increase in weight compared to the mild-hybrid models, tipping the scales at 3,163 pounds, while the latter variants weigh in at 2,945 lbs and 2,969 lbs. Additionally, the E-Tech model incorporates an E-Tech multi-mode automatic transmission, distinguishing it from the seven-speed dual-clutch found in the mild-hybrid versions.
Renault has announced that orders for the 2024 Arkana will be accepted in Europe this summer, allowing eager customers to experience the remarkable features and improvements firsthand. With its sleek design, advanced technology, and impressive performance, the 2024 Arkana sets a new standard for the crossover segment and further solidifies Renault's commitment to delivering exceptional vehicles that cater to a wide range of preferences.
