The much awaited next-gen Renault Duster's, first spy shots have surfaced online. This indicates that the third-generation Duster, is expected to debut in India by 2024.
The third-generation Duster will be offered in both 5-seat and 7-seat configurations, with more features and powerful engine options. The silhouette of the new Duster, seems quite similar to the Dacia Bigster concept, unveiled in 2021.
Gets the same thin LED headlights, a boxy and flat design for the bonnet.
Other key highlights include squared wheel arches, pull-type front door handles, C-pillar mounted rear door handles.
The rear design also mimics the Bigster concept, with arrow type LED tail lamp units, and the same outline for the tailgate, rear bumper, and number plate mounting position.
The interiors of the new Duster are expected to offer a range of features, including a large touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, a premium sound system, and a dedicated connectivity platform. For safety, there will be 6-airbags, parking sensors, 360 view camera, hill start assist, ESP and a tyre pressure monitoring system. Furthermore, the top-spec variants of the new Renault Duster, might also come with ADAS safety package.
The upcoming Renault Duster will be based on, heavily-localized CMF-B modular platform, which is jointly developed by Renault and Nissan. So Nissan will also have it's own version with different design. Although the standard version of the Duster will come with five seats, there will also be a 7-seat version. As of now, the Duster will only be offered with an ICE powertrain in India, but an EV derivative of Duster might be introduced later. The ICE unit will be petrol option, and a higher possibility of Petrol plus hybrid, in place of diesel unit.
Renault will unveil the SUV next year, and launch is expected by late 2024 or early 2025.
