This has been a CMV of following gut feelings and intuition and I'm so glad everything turned out the way it did. This was one of my main goals to accomplish this year and I'm beyond grateful to be able to check it off my list. Dabi was never a favorite character of mine, but through Shigaraki, I learned to grudgingly love him in a way, and this quickly became a wildfire ship for me. Even when the cmv was just an embryo in my thoughts, when it came to deciding who I wanted to do this with me, I had exactly one person and their Dabi in mind. Mika—we’d never met prior to then but we’d written so much, it felt like we had xD. I spent a week going through the footage and editing it to get the best flow possible (will I make a different version? Ha, probably).
Many thanks to those who reached out to offer mental support and encouragement, to our camerman (penguinallstar), who listened to everything I said and gave us those güd angles and rosebudberlin, who took us to (and arranged) one of the locations. That last day of shooting was hard for all of us, but we gave it everything we had (y'know, plus ultra and all that)! My Shigaraki was in heaven, ngl, even after that face swap incident. Let's do this again.
