<br>About Annie Marks:

<br>To say that yoga saved her life is somewhat of an understatement. Annie found yoga when she first moved to Los Angeles in 2002. As with most early pritioners, it was in addition to a regular workout routine. After years of battling with an eating disorder Annie lost all mind-body connection. While in a recovery program, during which she was only permitted to price a restorative form of yoga, Annie met a few amazing yoga teachers, who helped her through her recovery.
<br>
<br>In new, she completed her 200 hour certification in hatha yoga at Liberation Yoga in Los Angeles. Annie continues her studies with Will Duprey as she works towards her 300 hour RYT (yoga alliance certified). She is certified to teach children, tween, and teen yoga, as well.
<br>
<br>When shes not teaching or pricing yoga, Annie teaches pre-kindergarten to 22 exuberant 4 year olds! Annies classes draw upon the freedom of vinyasa flow as it purposefully connects the breath to each movement, with a sense of a lyrical dance.

Folding both the hands at elbows bring them under the shoulder (as in Bhujangasana) fingers together, pointing forward<br /><br />3. Now raise both the legs upward slowly without bending them at knees, and maintain.<br /><br />4. Then bring the legs down slowly.<br /><br />5. Salabhasana (Second techniqe)<br />The only difference in Salabhasana practised traditionally is in the position of hands. In this technique the legs are raised keeping hands straight by the side, closing the fists and fingers towards sky. The remaining technique is same.<br /><br />Remember:-<br /><br />1. In the begining (second technique) hands can be kept directly under the thighs which makes raising of legs easier.<br /><br />2. The legs should not bend at knees.<br /><br />3. While coming back to the original position bring the legs on the ground very slowly.<br /><br />Benefits and Limitations:-<br /><br />1. This strengthens the muscles of lower abdomen.<br /><br />2. This is beneficial in digestion and removes constipation.<br /><br />3. This gives strength to the lungs.<br /><br />4. Those suffering from high blood pressure, heart disease or having complaint of asthma, should not practise it.
