2024 Nissan Z NISMO First Look! - The Z Gets More Power & More Grip
Nissan has give the Z a power bump for 2024! If you get the new Z NISMO that is. The NISMO treatment includes 20 extra ponies and 34 lb-ft more torque. More important than the power itself are some performance oriented cooling improvements, revised wastegate tuning, an engine oil cooler for better track performance, and of course NISMO brakes for better stopping ability. Nissan says they also went back and strengthened the Z's body for extra rigidity, tossed on some more aggressive tires (Dunlop SP Sport MAXX GT600s from the GT-R) and bumped the tire size in the back to 285/35R19.
Nissan also sports up the interior with a red start/stop button and red drive mode control, the LCD instrument cluster gets a unique skin and you get Recaro seats and a new Alcantara wrapped steering wheel. We don't know how much it'll cost but it's likely going to be less than a loaded Supra. The only fly in the ointment? No manual. Zee NISMO (zee what I did zere?) will be equipped only with the 9-speed automatic that's been recalibrated for better performance.
