In August 2023, Manchester United spent £73million on a 20-year-old centre-forward, named Rasmus Hojlund.
Whilst £73million seems like an astonishing amount to pay for a 20-year-old, he wasn’t always regarded as a wunderkind. In fact, he has already had four professional clubs, and his first, the club he supported, let him leave having never played 90 full minutes.
